One of Dance Insight’s core values is authenticity, so we strive to be as transparent as possible with how we use your data.

We Will Never Sell Your Information

Dance Insight will never sell your information or any of our statistical data to third parties under any circumstances.

We may share basic aggregate data, such as average number of website visitors per month or total number of Instagram followers in certain contexts where we have to demonstrate our reach. Examples of this include:

  • Applying for a guest writer position on another blog
  • Inviting a guest writer to write a post for Dance Insight
  • Applying to be included in resource lists on other websites

Information We Gather

Website Analytics

We use a WordPress plugin called Independent Analytics to capture anonymous data related to our website. This includes:

  • Number of website visitors per day, per month, etc.
  • How many pages each visitor views on average
  • How long visitors tend to stay on each page
  • What type of devices visitors use (i.e. Android phone or Windows PC)
  • Website visitors’ general location (country)
  • And more. This is not an exhaustive list, just an example.

Independent Analytics does not collect personally identifying information (PII), such as your IP address.

Social Media Analytics

Dance Insight has active accounts on Instagram and Facebook. These platforms, both owned by Meta, collect data according to the Meta privacy policy. If you interact with Dance Insight on social media, please refer to the Meta privacy policy to see how your information is being stored and used.

Email List

We use the WordPress plugin Fluent CRM to manage our email list and smtp.com as our SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) router. This means that when you sign up for our email list, your information is stored in a WordPress database, and any mail you receive will be sent via smtp.com.

Depending on when you signed up for our email list, your information may also be stored in a database with Mailchimp, Mailjet, and/or Kit (formerly ConvertKit). These are our previous email service providers. We no longer send emails through those providers, but the accounts remain active.

You may unsubscribe from our email list at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of any of our emails. When you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive emails from Dance Insight, but you are not automatically removed from the database. Your status is just changed from “subscribed” to “unsubscribed.” We go into our database approximately once a month to delete unsubscribed contacts manually, but we feel it is important for you to know that unsubscribing doesn’t automatically remove your information from our system.

AI Policy

Dance Insight has never used any form of artificial intelligence (such as ChatGPT) in the creation of its content. All text, images, videos, ideas, and designs are 100% human-made, and aways will be. In addition to this, we will never use AI for productivity or other behind-the-scenes purposes.

While we cannot enforce this, we kindly request that you do not utilize our content for machine learning, or modify our content using AI.

Many of the photos on our site are used under a creative commons license from Pixabay, Pexels, or other stock photo websites. Attribution is in the caption of each photo if required.

The music in our online courses (coming soon) is also used under a creative commons license. Attribution is in the description of each video if required.
